All travelers to Bhutan have to book through a local agent or one that is affiliated with a local agent. There are over a 100 travel agents in Bhutan and the government sets the standard rate. Therefore, whichever agency you choose, you will pay the standard $200 a day (this is not a tariff but expenses that cover accommodation, food, guide and car with fuel). The only difference between the agencies will be the kind of service you receive. In the month of July and August (because these are off-season months) you can travel to Bhutan for $165 a day. This amount also covers all the expenses that the standard rate covers.
